Whether painting expressive landscape, figurative or abstract work, Debbie delights in capturing moments that evoke special emotion and mood. She shows not only the beautiful, but also the quirky, ironic and amusing aspects of life. Her aim is to honor people's culture and traditions while marveling at this complex and sometimes bewildering world around us.
Debbie, a self taught artist originally from Minnesota, recently returned to Texas to live near family. She has spent most of her adult life living in different parts of the country as well as overseas for many years. All of these experiences combined with her creative curiosity continue to influence her art.
