Rhodema is a Texas artist who works in both pastel and oil paints. Her work has been recognized in numerous juried competitions in the state and included in several displays including solo exhibits.

Animals, flowers and other wildlife are her favorite subject matter. Rhodema has been commissioned to create several pet portraits and they have included sheep, donkeys and even a llama. When visiting a zoo or garden or travelling a back country road, a camera is always in hand to capture special images to take back to her studio.

Rhodema enjoys travelling with her husband and visiting her grown children who live around the globe. Painting scenes from her adventures is a special practice to commemorate her journeys. The artist calls it "Travel Art" and she finds it the best way to keep memories close as they hang on her walls to be enjoyed every day.
