Skyris Jorgensen b. 1995 is a whimsical contemporary artist based in beautiful Austin, TX. She recently moved there with her husband and 1 year old daughter from Puerto Rico and is currently is expecting her second daughter in September.
This artist relates deep emotion through the use of bold colors, high contrast, and swirling patterns. Although she has been painting with acrylics for 7+ years, her style can be traced back to her junior high days. She would express herself through colors and forms which helped her process difficult circumstances happening throughout her life. Over the years, Skyris developed a close relationship with color and she continues to utilize this same processing technique to build her paintings.
Since moving to Texas in January 2025, this artist has been enjoying the vibrant art community and has started a new series of paintings called "Synchromism." Her works have been featured at Art for the People Gallery, Round Rock Penfold Gallery, Kush Fine Art Gallery, and SPACE at the Adolphus tower in Dallas.
