Born in India, I currently live with my husband and work out of my home studio in Austin,Texas US.
I was always drawn to art since I was little but now endeavoring art as a career. It's a beautiful thing when passion and career blend together.
I discovered myself when I joined an art school to enrich my learning experience. I further educated myself by painting and reading numerous books on painting. It enlightened me immediately as a very powerful and personal means of visual expression and I was inspired to transfer all my energy and agony into it which I was going through due to my chronic health issues.
And since then there was no turning back. Art is making it easier for me to deal with everyday struggle that I go through with my body. It is my catharsis which takes me away from all the unpredictability of life and always keeps me going.
I would say either you complain what you don't have or rejoice in the things you have and make the best of it. I chose to make the rest of my life, the best of my life.
My work is representational and contemporary and I try to work towards one goal; that my art should not only look appealing or entertaining, but also inspire others. I feel, even if a drop of inspiration or encouragement becomes a reservoir of confidence and creativity in someone's life, it would be worth it. Therefore, I strive to bring serenity and inspiration through my paintings. And that's how "Serene Compositions" came into existence.
My paintings have been part of the exhibits in Austin, Dallas, California, New York and Paris, France. I have sold my paintings to private collectors in US, India and Canada. I also auction my paintings at local fundraisers. To market my art, I use online resources like my website, Facebook, Houzz, FineArtAmerica, Red bubble, See.me, Society6 to name a few.
