Umbreen Ahmad is a Muslim-American abstract artist, Austin is her home. She finds inspiration in nature, travel and the grand adventure we call life. The constant reminder that we are a small speck of creation in a vast, beautiful world that comes in many colors is simultaneously humbling and inspiring.
She leans on the vibrancy of colors, dimensionality of texture and the softness that blending invokes to express emotions and experiences. She relies on oils, pastels and inks to honor the highs and lows of diverse emotions that are sometimes hers and others she stands witness to.
Abstract art is self discovery. A journey that gives her peace and purpose. A form of mediation that enables her to cherish moments and memories that are several shades of life, yet constantly and infinitely peaceful.
