I acquired a tremendous quantity of technical skill by studying studio art at the University of Texas (Austin) in the late 1960s. After returning to UT and graduating in Aug 1977, despite having a lot of technical skill, I realized 2 things: one, I had nothing "to say" (laugh) and two I had learned no marketing skills in school.

I went off and did other things for 46 years. I did paint & draw here and there as my son demanded I put his ideas into paintings. (laugh)

This summer, I found myself in the need of a new career. After working for the past 15 ½ years as the head of the Human Resources Department at a metal fabrication company (which was founded by close friends), the company was sold to new owners and...well let's say, if I am waltzing, and a new owner, my boss, is tango'ing the co-ordinations is not going to go well. I decided to leave.

Now I am in the "time machine business". :)))

I call the type of painting I am doing, "internet realism" because I can google any type of info I want, from any period of time or geographical location and get it fast and use it. The original paint strokes on canvas, are then immortalized forever, much like the writing on stones from ancient times that we value today.

Despite being 74 years old I have a good 31 years of a paining career ahead of me. I have no health issues, I am physically fit (walk 2 miles every other day) and my wits are sharper now by far than when I was 20 years old. (except that illusive short term memory thing, laugh)
