Austin Fine Art Gallery is excited to announce the Exhibit Opening of Aspects of Assembly: Collage and Mixed Media on Saturday, October 5th 4-6pm. The exhibit will show through November 18th.
The final submissions deadline is September 12th. You will receive an email on September 16th with the final selections. Art drop-off will be Fri., September 27th or Sat., September 28th.
This show will feature how a traditionally 2-D hanging piece of wall art can project texture and mixed media to give it a 3-D depth of perception. Some of you are already sucessfully implementing this art form; we encourage 2-D artists to rise to the challenge!
We are looking for dynamic images with clean layers, connections and construction. We are excited to see what you will present. The subject matter is yours to decide. Please forward this on to the best collage and assemblage artists you know.
We encourage text (Art Notes) to be submitted with the art: the story, the symbolism, and any questions so that the artist can engage the viewer even more. We will print these to accompany the art along with artist and title.
You may submit any number of images. If your art is selected for exhibition, you will receive an email with more info and a link for a one-time payment of a $50 secure payment for exhibiting in Aspects of Assembly.
You MUST use the link below to submit your work. Emails will not work with our format.
When submitting images, it is important to select the Exhibit name: ASPECTS OF ASSEMBLY.
To submit past submissions not shown before, simply login, click on your artwork to see it large, click UPDATE, and under the Exhibit drop down, select "Aspects of Assembly", and at the bottom of the page click UPDATE ART DATA.
We are looking for your best current, original artwork which has not been shown in our gallery. We have simplified the submission process, but if you have any issues, please contact us.
Attendance at the Exhibit Opening is preferred as it is important during these events for our guests to meet the artists. It's also a great opportunity for you to meet other Austin artists.
The artist/gallery split on sales is 60/40. ALL WALL ART MUST BE READY TO HANG WITH WIRE OR D-RINGS. NO SAW-TOOTH HANGERS ALLOWED. We will generate and display art labels including prices from your submission information.
Austin Fine Art Gallery will provide hors d'oeuvres and drinks during the exhibit opening. We also will have live and/or select playlist music.
We will be happy to provide any imaging, printing, matting, backing, mounting, stretching, and framing services for artists with a discount of 35% - 50% on all in stock materials.
We thank you in advance for your submissions. Please forward this on to any artist friends who may like a chance to participate as well. We always welcome the opportunity to see the work of artists who have yet to exhibit in our gallery.
